Out of all the thousands of Myrtle Beach Bars you'll be tempted to go to when you're in town, The Bowery is one you won't want to miss. This is a honky-tonk bar
in downtown Myrtle Beach that's been around since 1944. It is an upbeat
place, one of the Grand Strand’s legendary institutions, you'll be glad
you went to.
They have cold draft beer and live music. Alabama
got its start there in the 1970s playing for tips and working on songs
that would lead the band to the distinction as the best selling group in
country music history. Today they have such musicians as Lee Travis and The Bounty Hunters, with fiddler Philip Swaby as its featured soloist. Definitely a must to hear!
People are drawn in the front doors from Ocean Boulevard and the
Boardwalk by the live music from The Bounty Hunters, a band Bowery owner
Victor Shamah manages. They play every Monday through Saturday nights.
At Duffy’s there is karaoke 7 nights a week and some awesome food, too.
Their upcoming schedule has some bands you won't want to miss if you’re going to be in town any of these nights.
Of all the Myrtle Beach Bars you could go to, this will be the one worth the journey.
